ADAM...FOREVER TWENTY-TWO
You
were only twenty-two, When an angel you
became, Living forever in our
memories, Our lives won't ever be the
same.
It's like our world stopped
turning, And our time is standing
still, You're always in our thoughts, But,
we cannot change God's will.
We cherish
the special memories, Of the years we had
with you, But, we know you're in Heaven
now, And we look forward to being there
too.
Our hearts are now broken, And
life is empy without you, But, we know you'll
always be, Our son...forever
twenty-two.
Life
with Adam was always an adventure. He was our
first born, after miscarrying my first
pregnancy. Two more miscarriages would follow,
with Jared being our second born. There are 3
1/2 years between Adam and Jared. Being pregnant
five times in five years was very hard on me,
but we always felt extremely blessed to have our
two sons.
Adam was born on March 12,
1981 at 4:47am, weighed 8lbs 12ozs and was 21
inches long. I never saw a more proud man than
his dad! Adam was adventurous, tempermental, and
a little shy when he was little. He had a vivid
imagination and wanted to be doing something all
the time. He overcame his shyness and showered
everyone with his heart of gold. Everyone loved
him so much.
Adam truly loved animals and
always had a pet. His first pony was so special
to him, partly because his great-grandpa gave it
to him. He rode it all the time and even in
parades. Adam joined 4-H and showed at the fair
and surrounding horse shows. We have all of his
ribbons and trophies to prove how great a
horseman he had become. We also still have his
beloved horse, Coda Rose, here for his daughter.
We always had a dog for Adam too. His
two yellow labs, Toby & Lacy, and his beagle
puppy, Rio, are missing him so much
now.
Adam also played T-ball and Little
League baseball. He was the pitcher on his team
and they won several championships. He always
excelled at everything he set his mind to.
Music was probably one of the most
important of Adam's passions. We had alot of
musicians in our family and Adam seemed to be
drawn to music. His great-grandma gave his first
real guitar when he was only 6 years old. His
great-grandpa gave him a record of "The Yellow
Rose of Texas" and Adam learned every word of
it. He would sing it and "play" his guitar
everyday. Our cousin, Rod, taught Adam how to
play his guitar and Adam would come home and
teach Jared what he had learned. Adam did become
a wonderful singer and guitar player, and he
entertained all of his friends whenever he
could. Adam played his guitar and sang "In the
Garden" in church for his grandparents. Both of
our sons would entertain us everyday. We always
had music in our home and we miss that terribly
now.
Adam married Celenna when he was 20
years old and they had a beautiful baby
daughter, Madilyn on December 10, 2003. Madilyn
was only 3 months old when her daddy was killed
by a drunk driver in a truck wreck on March 5,
2004. He would have been 23 years old seven days
later. Madilyn knows who her daddy is and kisses
his picture. It breaks our hearts that she is
growing up without her daddy.
Adam was a
great friend to so many and he always called
them "Buddy". We were very close to all his
friends and they still call me "Momma
Hill".
All of our lives have been
drastically changed since losing our wonderful
son, brother, and daddy. We all miss him dearly
and know nothing will ever be the same again.
Jared has lost his big brother and Craig has
lost his "buddy". I lost another baby that had
grown into a wonderful young man that we were
all very proud of. We are very fortunate to have
so many loving memories of him. Those can never
be taken away from us.
Adam always hugged
and kissed me good-bye. I can still see him
walking down the sidewalk to his truck and
looking back saying "love ya bye"! We love you
too Adam! You will forever be in our
hearts!
And when our journey here on
Earth has come to an end, He'll be waiting
for us in the light...ready to take our
hand.
ADAM'S GIFTS
We miss you more
than words can say, And look for signs from
you everyday, Like a floating feather or
yellow rose, A shiny new penny or vibrant
rainbows,
So when we see your precious
gifts, You've sent us from Heaven
above, We know that you're sending
us, Your everlasting and eternal
love!
